Club Philosophy
The club is run on the basis of friendship, trust and integrity, and looks for members who have a similar attitude to life. Our average house owner is probably adventurous but may also be someone who would think twice about joining a more impersonal and diverse home swap site.
The site is primarily designed for couples or singles and, as such, SimplyHouseSwap operates a policy of limiting home exchanges to parties of two persons, although there may be scope to increase the number by mutual agreement between members.
Obviously, as a registered member who fits into the required SimplyHouseSwap age bracket, you may have a partner, a spouse, or a friend with whom you wish to holiday who is younger, and that is acceptable, but the rule is there to engender trust. It is understood, however, that in the event of there being a person under twenty-one years of age involved in a swap this must be specifically and directly agreed with the 'swapee' (the SimplyHouseSwap club member with whom you are swapping).
All homes on the SimplyHouseSwap site are deemed equal for the purposes of a house exchange.
Pets
If you would like to take your dog with you, or if you have a cat which would require feeding in your absence, please discuss this when you first approach a potential swapee and before a house swap is agreed. There is no obligation either on the part of house owners to accept pets or for swapees to care for others' animals. Subscribers might prefer to include this information in their description of the property when they join.
